Shame really! I once had a set of original sport 40's and the irmscher airbox, looked the part and sounded awesome!

It was Jon Sheild's at Coutenays he always planned to build it back as a sport but got made a silly offer on it he still has most of the bits as he plans to buy another Sport one day, I bought a coupld of bits ages ago off him from it. It was about ?300 and has an interesting story behind it as it once out run a police patrol car in a chase he also bought it in about 2001 when sport didnt have the following they have now. The money spent on the car is also a bit misleading and just for TV purpose. The nova also won and she had to miss a gear.

they approached the old png to get them to build a car, they refered them to courtenay and Jon hadnt long bought the sport. BBC payed to rebuild/panel up the sport and jon basicly get a free paint job, he had planned to put it back to standard after but it didnt happen. basicly he used it so it got build for free and didnt have to go out and buy another nova to start again on

Plus VBH is no dappy tart she is also a very good driver but as said before it was staged so clarkson would win.
I went round elvington airfield in this car with Mark Watts at the wheel and i went like stink so fare play to all that built it.
This was also made many years ago if your that mad into your nova's i thought you would of seen this along time ago.

Most of the Sports are registered with the DVLA like this, however I've seen a few late ones listed as BodyStyle: Sports

The Sport was based on the Swing not the Flair.
Most were registered as base models but a few were registered as Sports or SR's by the dealer.
