View Full Version : 1.4 spi injector in a 1.2 spi help
after reading and old issue of total vauxhall i installed a 1.4 spi injector to night in to my 1.2 spi. goes better up to 4k revs then the car dies and feels like its really holding back. anyone know whats causing this and how to fix it.

Yes,
You have the wrong size injector installed.....
Don't mean to sound harsh but it really isn't worth the time, effort or money to tuning your 1.2i..
ano but i picked up a 1.4 inlet tb for a tenner so thought id fit the injector.
its suposed to work. bit quicker up to 4k were it dies. why does it die tho.
and i mite not be able to get the 14 mpi until next years insurance :mad:

so what else have you done to warrant the extra fuel? Its going to be better to just leave it as it was.
All's its doing is injecting more fuel than the ecu thinks its injecting=loss of performance, increase in fuel bill's.
Also the 1.4 TB is exactly the same as the 1.2 one, apart from the injector.
think im for putting the 12 injector back in.
apparently i need to fit it with a bigger tb of an 1.6
just thought id try it to see what would happen
