I saw a Nova around Leeds the other day and when it changed gear flames came out of the exhaust(with a big bang).Is it possible to tune my 1.4SR (H reg) to do this??Any help appreciated.

Forgot to mention, got a K+N air filter and janspeed exhaust.

It probably back fired, my mate does it in his. It can't be good for the car.

easy way to do it!! im gonna let a little secret drop now. have any of you seen that red escort turbo wich flames for fun? well he has a spark pulg in his exhaust and connected to his battery, one press of a button and BANG flames a plentiful.!

I was just thinking about building somthing similar the other day but didn't know if it would work. You will need to wire the low tension side of a coil to 12v through a push buton switch, You could push the button to charge the coil and when you release it, it will spark. BANG! It would be good if you fitted a microswitch to the throttle likage so when you lifted totally off the throttle it re opened the switch causing it to spark. This would probably work well as tuned cars that back fire usually do it on sudden lift off I think it is due to an increase of unburnt fuel when you lift off? You would also need an on/off switch for the thing. I think i might make one

a couple of points,
a) if the police see flames from your exhaust your in big trouble and b) It burns the wadding out of your silencers in no time, We have to re-pack the one's on our Nova every 3-400 miles.

What if it was fitted in the tailpipe after the back box, surley this wouldn't effect the wadding.

Making flames is piss easy to do just fucks your exhaust, drill a hole in the pipe and screw in a spark plag, connect to battery and switch, flick the switch and BOOOOM (WARNING: flames been known to throw over 20ft)

Y dont u guys just stick a match in ur petrol tank. U will get massive booming effect from this. Don't think the police would try and give u points or pull u over if ur in the car!!!!!!!!
