i am wanting to know what size the standard vavle size in a 1300 sr nova..
the reason for this is i have been told i have got a head thats ported and polished with biger valves.
how can i check this? i havnt a clue on how to measure them apart from the bottom of them to see the width of them? if you could give me some more info on this it would be great. thanks
what do i have to do to a head to make it grp a spec??
cheers

would uprated valve springs help too?
what would i gain if i fitted these?
also solid lifters, heard of people fitting these for giher revs..
would it be better with solid lifters?
thanks
Greg
Not "better" no.
Just for reliability if sitting at high revs.

thanks..
how much power would i be looking at with a 1400 re-built bottom end, possibly some fancy bigger pistons (depends if the pistons i got are uprated), lightened and balanced flywheel, ARP rod bolts, 1300 big valve p+p head, twin 40's with ported inlet manifold, enem cam, solid lifters, adjustable vernier pulley, uprated valve springs, 4 banch and comp exhaust..
hoping for 120bhp when all set up.
Greg
Id say more 110
Call it 95 if you dont set the carbs/ignition up.
