Some of the Nova Sport lot might be able to help you Greg

Read about some Sport's running those cams

Its the optional nova sport cam.

It is a gen Nova Sport Cam, it is infact @300 duration!

Lifts std sport from 82hp to 93hp!

Do you mean X13.
I cant find details for X17.
Oh, and the nova sport(x13) cam is 254deg duration. Very mild cam, according to the catalogue.

Was that cam not a bit lumpy for road use?

And was the Enem cam the same one as the Irmscher cam that was optional as well?

no its X17. definetly.

i have looked in the nova sport guide/build manual and its a 298 degree cam and that is the X17..

so is that the same as a "grp a" cam??

what degree is the kent ast2?

thanks

Greg

I think its fair to assume that irmscher would have purchased the cam from Enem and sold it that way...

The Kent AST2 is a touch under 290deg IIRC. Might be 286 ?

I have one, and don't even know !

Yes, by looking at duration alone.

Although, IIRC you're running T40's ?

Get it setup properly. The X17 Cam is a serious jump from standard

yes i am running 40's..

i found out the cam was not standard so, i thought bugger it..al slap her on and see what it does. only took me an hour.

i am not keeping it on my engine, i am fitting it to another engine i am building for my rally car..

thanks guys!

Royston, is that the same cam you have just put into your sport? or your 1300SR?

Well whatever you do, make sure you have it setup properly before giving it some abuse !

Martin

GM followers are fine... and in many cases better than the "uprated" ones...

It will do if you've just fitted it, and not touched the carb setup at all...

I'd definetly second that one.

The Kent Items are meant to be "uprated" but they are very rough and the casting (i presume they're cast) looks horrible compared to the GM ones.

I've got a photo comparing both somewhere, i resorted back to GM ones !
