I went out for meal on Friday night with this girl im seeing, so we go off into town and parker the car, then go to the restaurant have the meal, pop to bar near by as a mates plying a gig there, watch that then leave, so we get back to the car park and the windows are frozen so i start defrosting ti to notice theres a ticket on there! :confused:

Right so i go look at the info board as i was sure after 6pm it was free (always has been i thought)
and in small righting it says 1800pm-8.00am free parking none applicable during seasonal,or busy times! WTF!!

How the hell do you know when that is, are they taking the piss!

So now i have to pay ?40 how gash is that...:mad:

Nope.

Go and take a picture of the sign, then send them a letter with the picture, and a copy of the ticket expressing your anger at how small the writing is, and that you feel information like that should be written much clearer.

Similar thing happened to me in london a few years back, I parked the Sprinter, looked at the sign which said 'All day parking, ?15'. So bought the ticket. Came back at the end of the day to find a ticket saying 'full fee not paid'. Went back to the sign and in unbelievably small writing it said 'Commercial vehicles ?25' Took a pic of the sign, did what i said above and got a letter of apology lol

Scottappeal against it, I'm sure they have to set times out clearly, and not come up with bollox like that, as like you said how are people meant to know what times when, and whats seasonal to one is just another day to to another:confused:

As said, appeal against it. Usually if it's genuine enough they'l quash the penatly.

Stratford upon Avon, and i think it's private too, as all the other parking is run by Local council,but this ones by a firm called Local Parking Security LTD..

Thing is guys i have the 7 day's before they send out another fine for ?60 etc and it's Christmas so they might not get this one in time,so im not going to mess around or els could end up in a right mess etc, so i sent it off the next day,but though i would just ran to get it off my chest so to speak..

Appeal Scott, it sounds like the signage is improper. I personally would if it was me, even if it is this time of the year.
