Just extend / run new wires to it, thats the easy bit if you ask me.
Then once you've mounted the cage in where the vents were you've gotta chop / blank off some of the ducting that goes in the back of the dash ... also try not to butcher the back of the dash to much as you still want the heaters to work on the windscreen.

The existing wiring runs down from the top of the dash to the back of the headunit so it'd be easy to keep the existing wiring and tie it up behind the dash or shorten the wires.

could do wid some help on this ive just tried this and it seems that the headunit is to big for it to fit there and have that part of the dash go back in the current scew holes ive also cut away some foam thing which im guessing was part of the air circulation bit but that aint helped eva anyone got any ideas

I'd say the 'foam thing' will just be the sound deadening on the bulkhead, which is fine to cut away.
Which way is it to big to fit ?
If done well you should still be able to screw it down using all of the origional fixings, the only one that needs a bit of work is the one that was behind the left hand vent, all you've gotta do is make a hole in the 'cage' so you can get the screw to it to the fixing hole.
The center part of the dash along with the stereo cage needs to be all fitted first, then you should be able to fit the stereo as you would in any other car.

becuase thats were all the heat would come out of that ventilation thing that i just cut out the wires will prob melt right is there anything in particular i can use to close it off was gonna use some tape dunno if that would be enough protection for the wires do ??

The wires wont melt from the heat off the heaters !!
After i'd cut bits out of the ducting i just used some bits of plastic to cover the holes then stuck it all on with gaffer tape, bit of a bodge tbh, but it worked !!
