couldnt decid wether this is a styling post or techincal

so apologies admin or viewers

basically, just wondered if i get rocker cover, oil cap etc chromed, i assume it will get chromed inside and out? and will this effect anything inside my engine? also will it seal again properley or cos its shiny wont it?

with heat will flakes come off inside and cause damage???

personaly ive bin told its not a good ideal to chrome alloy as it doesnt stick to it as well as it would to metal therefore eventually flake off. Ive had mine polished and looks just as good as long as u take it to sum1 who knows wat there doing.

a quick point, dont get your cam pulleys polished as some smartarse cossie driver did once, never again i should imagine!!

I agree with pukka nova - dont get it done. instead finely clean the rocker and spray using high temp paint - u can get it in halfords about ?7 for a big can - comes in silver/chrome. Spoked to withstand heat up to 2000 deg. Just make sure its cured before taking car for a spin. Keep the underside paint free if u can - especially matting surface area for gasket (obviously).
