Hi i lowered my gsi 60mm on gmax springs and shocks and fitted a set of speedlines (allesio 2) i think,

but wen i turn corners and go over bumps i catch the inside lip on the front arches was wondering if anyone has had the same problem.

was thinking of getting stiffer springs as it doesnt rub unless i go over bumps.

PLease help!!!!

You can get your arches rolled by a decent bodyshop should give you enough clearance. Doesnt sound like the tyres are too big or wrong fitting wheels if its only over bumps.

You could grind the lip back under the arch yourself just make sure you seal it up properly after or you will see rust starting in no time. I would still leave a small lip though.

edit- are they 16s?

Alessio's will be 16"s. It must be rather low to scrub. A -60mm drop is usually OK. GMAX stuff is pretty crap though. Firmer springs will help.

What brand too? Some are really chunky compared to others of the same supposed size.

a539's are awfull tyres , but that isnt the topic here lol

id say you will be best with a 40 profile on 16" rims , or if you want to stick to 45's for price then id go no lower then 40mm

as for springs pi are just as bad as gmax , and you will prob have to ring a few supliers up and ask them for some higher poundage springs
