Does a 2ltr V6 Mitsubishi Galant have the same engine as an M reg FTO.

Yes, both feature the 6A12. Although the Galant one is the 170ps version.

[edit] scratch that, the Galant has the 6A12 engine in 145ps, 170ps or 195ps flavours. The MIVEC variant is also found in Galants at 200ps.

What you really want is the 6A12T from a VR4, or the 6G72T from a GTO :D

[edit again] MIVEC is the 200ps one found in FTO GPX's, whilst the FTO GR has the 170ps engine.

I was hoping I could widen my search a bit.

Some jap dude might be just as confused by C20XE, C20LET, 20NE, C16SE etc lol

translated then, the 6A12 engine that Matt is looking for is also in the Galant, but comes in different power outputs :p
