Aslong as its kept in a dry place I would think it will be fine.
I put a GTE engine in my old one and it had stood for over 3 years without being touched, and hardly any oil in. When I fitted it I only put fresh oil in and did the filter and it cracked up first turn of the key and ran problem free.

I left my XE down a garden path loosely covered with a metal panel for over a year, it went back and started 1st time. I just covered the throttle body/inlet.
(all loom and ancilarys were removed)

it can sit for ages. youl probly do more damage turning it over with a ratchet than good, when all the oil runs out the bearings, it might just be scoring the bearings. should be alright to run but wouldnt advise doing it again.
