seen a gullwing astra (new style one) but never a gull wing nova :o

Could be an interesting mod.

You'd need to watch where u parked coz your need 3 parking spaces to open yer doors! Bummer in Sainsburys and if u had a single garage :D

this maybe obvious but dont you just modify the hinges and weld them to the A pillar? Prob needs more work than that cos theyd need to be onsomething to keep them open.

A proper gull wing has the doors hinged from the top of the door so they float outwards. Never seen a nova with them before. Although did see a nova with doors that opened backwards like the old 1940's cars! (on here somewhere too!)

most ppl use hydraulic bonnet or boot lifters to keep them open.

lol at suicide doors, i remember seeing a golf with them

A proper gulwing nova has been done. You need to weld an H section into the roof to hinge the doors to/for support. But why bother. Looks good on ?100k+ supercars, but not on Novas/Golfs and etc. Might impress people with the quality of the work if you can get it done properly, but (IMO) it will just look stupid.
