cylinder head????

this might sound stupid, but here go's in the past i have used a 1.4 bottom end with a 1.2 cylinder head,ive just got a gsi engin out of a nova for ?50 at 80.000miles to use while i rebuild my valver. i just wondered if anyone can tell me if is possable to use, a 1.2 head with a 1.6 bottomend. if this is possable wot would it be quicker then just a standared 1.6 gsi engine:)

1 of my friends used 2 run a 1.4 head on a 1.6 bottom end with 1.6 cam neva went to a 1.2 it will make it quicker i should imagin but maybe too much compresion? good old vaux mix and matchable parts

:thumb: thanks mate, how could i lower the compresion, i thought it would make it quicker my 1.4 in the pass was nippi with the 1.2 head on it.

It fits on yeah.
Completely pointless tho because:
1-The ports are crap compared the the 1600 ones
2-The compression will be pushed up so high it will be detting
And 3-The inlet manifold wont match the head ports.
