DEFINATELY worth doing! Reduced nearly all the torque steer on my p2 nova.
The fixed shaft and CV you can get from later 8v & 16v cavs & calibras. Then depending on whether you are running the bigger hubs or not you can get the shorter driveshaft from www.chrisastleymotorsport.co.uk (http://www.chrisastleymotorsport.co.uk).

i'm planning on running this setup as my engine alreadey has the fixed shaft and an f16 close ratio box but dont really want to run bigger hubs, can i still get the shorter shaft? cheers
The only way to do it with still having small CV hubs is to get the shaft cut and welded so you have a big CV on the inner and a small CV on the outer.
If your just running an XE then you shouldn't have any probs, if its an LET then it wont last that long, i had one cut and welded and it lasted about 5 month !!

Or get a single custom shaft made up to suit a standard nova outer cv and the inner cv that connects to the equal lengh inner cv.
