After posting my gearbox problem not long ago i found out, thanks to dicko mentioning gear linkage that it was infact my clutch cable jamming the gear linkage due to the cable bracket being too low. It was causing my 2nd and 4th gear to be very hard to get into gear and only realised when i got my girlfriend to go through the gears while i watched the gear linkage and saw the cable either stopping it or being really difficult to put in 2nd or 4th. I slacked off the bolt connecting the box to the engine and pulled my bracket up.
My car now changes gear better than ever. All that thanks to a bracket being put too low.
And to think that i was going to get a new gearbox and clutch!
