Ring up the instructor and ask if you can do a few 'refresher lessons' in the VXR as you think you might have picked up some bad habits??

makes sense learning the drive in a mental car - that way when you pass and daddy buys you a mental car you respect the power - they say.

My missus had a mate (posh) who learnt to drive in a renault 5 gt turbo!

Pass and got given a 3 series beemer. 3 months later he rolled it and bit the end of his tongue off - as well as smashing most of the bones in his body.

The morale - there isnt one - he was a c0ck and tried to take a tight corner at 100!

D'OH!

Thats what i was thinking, i expect the focus is the ST diesel by the looks of it.

WHY if you were an instructor would you put your life at EVEN MORE of a risk by letting some one who's never drove a car before lose in something so powerful!

They wont let you do it with a motor bike so why a car??

Whats stopping them from slipping on the pedals and flooring full throttle onto the path and killing someone! at least in a 1L or lower theres that margin where it wont catch you out as quick..

In a car the instructor has pedals too, on a bike the instructor cant put the brake down.

saw an e46 330d in exeter today with a huge learner sign on the roof.

In Reading there was a mk4 golf with ottengior (sp) bodykit, wheels, lowered - nice OEM looking, oh and it was a V5 (170bhp)

I've always been amused at the Impreza STi.

No doubt its not the only STi the owners have

ST TDCi's in the MK2 variant arent available (and probably wont be as the MK3 comes out early next year)

no youth respects the power of a fast car, so none can be trusted :D

Probably is, unless you can catch Sextually transmitted infections from exhaust pipes.

Whats wrong with a towbar on an Impreza STi? Its an ideal car for towing, 4wd and bucketloads of torque.

Makes sense to me, after all they are probably self employed instructors, and the school car will be their daily drive when not in use after ripping off the magnetic stickers.

Id rather have an ST than a fecking clio lol
