i am going to be bolting my roll cage in my nova soon..

but iirc..i will need to weld plates/boxes to the floor before i fit cage??

is this right as i have just got the cage.

its going to be used in a rally so needs to be done right..also where can i get them?

3mm steel sheet, and make the brackets to suit... you'd have to mod the ones you get with a cage anyway

anyone got pics of the brackets? just need to see some to get an idea on how to do mine..

also if you could put some pics of a roll cage bolted up to the monts on the floor it would be good.

do i need to make the plates at every bolting point on the floor?

You need to make the plates at every mounting point. Fit the cage, draw around every mount with a black marker, remove the cage, cut the sheet metal to suit the bits you've drawn around, remembering that the plates need to be bigger than the mounts, weld the plates in, refit the cage, drill the plates+chassis and then bolt the cage into place.

Yea the plates will give strength to the points where the cage meets the chassis, they are to stop the cage piercing through the chassis should you have an accident.
