i didnt take any more of it while it was rubbed down and painted. The front end was stone chipped white and the rest of the car painted white with blue pearl.

the front end built up.

i still need to build up the back, paint the doors and finish the interior.

ive been told there out of a ford rs turbo convertable, but the subframes want modifying to make them sit lower. when the cars finished i will get some good pics of it in a petrol station so you can see the pearl come to life

its going to get a 1.4 sri motor fitted very soon hopefully when ive finished the bodywork and as im a mechanic it probs wont be staying standard for long (depending on cash flow). I will get some more pics as soon as this awfull weather clears up

If anyone lives in somerset and wants any paint work done i carnt recomend highly enough mirror image, he is a compleate perfectionist, if any wants contact info then pm me. I would also like to thank my dad for all the effort that he put into the car.

its compleatly rotten due to sitting under a tree for 3 years so if perfect for breaking as it wouldnt be possible to save it.

novacabrio you have a pm mate. i havant yet decided wether to go with the b post and boot vynils yet but i thing i probs will.theres still lots to do to make her perfect.

Really like the look of this and how its going. If i was you i would vinyl the b pillars & boot and put the little black vinyl strips in the bumpers. They would finish it off nicely.

Hi this car maybe up for sale
It has speed line 16inch wheels, full GSI interior, GSI engine, brand new 4 into 2 manifold, new clutch, cam belt kit as you can see it is a very nice car with no major rust in the shell. Pm Peter for more info.

Looking ace mate !!! Really liking the blue pearl in the paint, did you just add that into the clear coat and then spray that over a plain white base ?? Although will be 100 % better when it's got the new engine in. best of luck anyhow.

Thats a lovely little motor mate hope its wrapped up well for winter though.

Cant beleive how rotten that poor GSi was, how can anyone just leave a car to rot away it just doesnt make sense but hey ho helps yours live on even better/shinier.

Hi it was 2 coats on top of the base coat and then 2 coats of lacquer then wet flatted then 2 more coats of lacquer

Nobody can really say that it is not a GSI, this genial!

Technically it is as peter has stripped the GSI and swapped everything over including the full wiring loom
It didn’t get the suspension as he put Bilstein’s on it
