I'm am so p!ssed off its unbelievable, i know someone has posted before about how cr@p halfords are and i totaly agree, went to buy some tint, got Light smoke for front and dark smoke for back, only ones they had left, got em home, the dark smoke had been opened and cut, only enough film for 1 window! Went back but it was 7.59 and they shut at 8.
How the fvck can they have the cheek to sell that when it's obvioulsy been opened, my fault aswell, should of checked if it's been opened!
Anyone wanna fire bomb all the halfords with me?

hi,

I actucally work at halfords, and you will find that if you are reasonable with the staff and dont shout the odds too much then you will have a satisfactory outcome to the situation you are in.

Perhaps it was a genuine mistake on the behalf of the store, like anyone, they are human and mistakes can happen. However, i am not trying to justify what happened, merely trying to be objective.

Personally speaking, if i ever have to handle a complaint at work, i do my utmost to ensure that a amicable solution for all parties concerned is arrived at. I take pride in my work and enjoy the feeling when customers walk away happy.

My g/f has used halfords for many purchases for her kitted calibra, as have i for my nova, and we have found that the service is never less than excellent. She has had problems with other stores - courtenay and demon tweeks and pemberton tyres.

common prob that in many shops, some t**t of a customer brings sumit back and person on till cant b arsed check it over properly, so they give a refund and put it back on shelf not knowing its fcuked.

iv only ever ordered 2 things from ripdped and had no problems with either

i weren't having a dig at u dicko, just saying that the ripspeed/halfords in sheffield is totaly w*nk, wont shop there again unless its something i know hasnt been opened/used, ok got another story for u, went to buy a gear knob, got it in the car and lucky i tried to fit it outside the store, it had the wrong adapters with it, took it back in the guy(who's actualy a sound gezza with a wicked corsa) got me another packed one and gave me the parts outa that. I just hope i dont have no cr@p tonight when i take the tints back, gonna buy em from somewhere else.
Had enough of it.

Hey....nowt wrong with the tartan interior.....I like it.

Anyway, Halfords has always been ok for me......bloody expensive compared to other local car spares though, including Charlie Browns!

Only prob I've ever had was with they own-brand paint.......I had a shocking time getting my paint colour to match (my previous Red Antibes), but I got some Car Plan stuff from Charlie's and that was perfect.
It was funny actually 'cos I went into Halford's one day and all their paint isle was fenced off.....they'd had some "quality control" problem with the paint. That explained it then!
