inlet manifold gasket

hey all, brought a head gasket set for my gte.the inlet manifold gasket was wrong. it had square holes instead of round ones and they didnt line up with the ports.

any body no why?

been down to my local parts place and should be getting the correct one tomorrow.

just wandered if any body else had experienced this?

Sound like theyve given you a gasket set for an SR or and SPi engine....

They should change it over no bother.

It wasn't an FAI kit was it? I found this the other week! Their gasket set for the Nova 1.6 (E16SE) is wrong and thus comes with the square inlet gasket.

If it's not too late, take it back and swap it for an Astra 1.6 (C16SE) gasket set which has all the right gaskets for the 1.6 8v, with a round port inlet gasket.
