looking at ?500 + setup...... for a piss poor solution.

well obv it goes in the bin... you need a dizzy or spark only management (or get a fully capable management and not wire up the injectors... NO not a std one)

Can use an old carb dizzy.
Tho its advance curve is set for a single carb engine, so its quite a poor method.
Inlets are around the ?200 mark, carbs ?100. Then they'll need re-jetting too, so dont forgot the extra costs involved.

And if your going to 'bodge' a manifold it aint worth it. It'll be sh1te.

was going to make a stainless one use the standard base as a template,
stainless exhaust tube samco's to join or buy a tb manifold and addapt

Trev speak to tom reid as he'll sort you out for a manny im sure, :thumb :migweb has a massive topic on 'how to bike carbs'

Something I was considering on my 1600.. but thats a long story.

A dcoe manifold is about ?140 tho, expensive to cut up.

what makes it a poor method???

what would you notice or what would perform poorly

My estimate for my engine is easily over ?500.Thats before setting the carbs up, or mapping the ign.

The ign requirements for a multiple carb'd 2L is much different than a downdraft old 1600 engine. It will work but is no where near ideal.

Meh, I know a place selling a complete used T/B kit including OMEX management for ?950, may aswell just use that TBH

with management and TB's being sooo cheap these days its better (read that as more efficient across the rev range) to go that route rather than carbs.

slieve the TB's down with a venturi like device and you wont have a peaky engine as many claim.
