I have a astra gsi in front of me, its overfuelling chucking lots of black smoke out the back and running like a sack of crap, just changed crank sensor and temp sensor after ecu being scanned, ecu light has gone off but still isn't running right?
Any ideas what it could be?

CTS is always first port of call tbh.

Check it or atleast renew it. Clean the ICV with carb cleaner & make sure the loom plugs for knock sensor & ICV arent mixed up.

Also check the cam timing, if the belt is 1/2 tooth out on the inlet, it'll over fuel.

For the benefit of anyone searching/reading.

CTS - (coolant temp sensor) its a blue sensor screwed in under the thermostat housing.

Renew it (approx ?7 from a motorfactors).

ICV - Idle control valve. Its under the SFI box quite low down. Has 2 air pipes (1 from side of SFI box) going in at 90degrees to each other & a loom plug.

Any holes in the rubber inlet trunking between the AFM & the SFI box?

Have you checked, cleaned the other things?
