what is the usual quick rack "lock to lock" ??
what is a nova standard?
also how can i tell if a camshaft is a highlift cam?
and what is the standard 1300 nova valve size? any pics of standard valves?
and how can i tell if the pistons are different? to look at the pistons they have 2 small "holes" in the top, they are not really holes, they are meant to be there..are the 1300 pistons flat at the top??

ttt
get a haynes manual. most of the info is in there!
quick racks do lock to lock in about 2.5 turns. Pistons sound like std ones, in fact I dont know of any fancy 1300 pistons.
to measure the cam measure accross the base and then the longest bit, take one from the other and the will give you lift, more or less.

Got a quick rack in the Sport but don't know how many turns would guess 2.5ish, std will ne @3+
Std 1.3 pistons have valve cutouts, and are dished not flat
Std inlet valves are 33mm dia
Std exhaust valves are 29mm
have got pics but not at the minute!
Do you know what a cam looks like? You'll need some vernier calipers (pref digital) or a dial gague with suitable attachment.
