hi, got myself another little nova project the other night..it started life as a 1200 carb'd nova.. i bought it from a guy called stevie on here (cheers).

he was planning to convert to redtop.. so my plan is to get her welded up, a roll cage, as light weight as possible and do a full re-spray (inside, outside, engine bay, under arches and possibly underneath, then fit a 1400 sri engine with some goodies! it will be running on twin weber 40 carbs too!

the nova is in ok condition..it needs a bit of welding but hey nearly every nova does!

it needs a complete front panel, seam welded, 2 plates on inner wings, plate behind passenger strut top, splash gaurds, a plate in rear boot corner, and a small repair in the arch on drivers side..shouldnt be too bad to do.

here is some pics-

this is when stevie owned her-

aye the pics seem to make it look worse..its actually a pretty tidy/solid wee shell..

the plans are to get it as light as possible..get it a full re-spray, roll cage, bucket seats, 1400 sri engine with ported and polished head, kent ast2 camshaft, alloy vernier pulley, 4 branch manifold, twin weber carbs etc and some 2.0 brakes, sump gaurd, quick rack and some other stuff..

first on the list is to get her welded though!

thats me decided what i am doing with the car. building it into a stage rally car!:thumb:

i am getting another nova rolling shell this week but the shell has some rough welding and needs a complete re-spray so i could be grinding down some of the welds and re-doing them. still not 100% sure what shell i will be using but one of them will be getting a full multi-point roll cage, bias pedal box, plumbed in extinguisher system, handheld extinguisher, new bucket seats, 3" aircraft type harnesses, hydraulic handbrake with disc rear axle, 2.0 brakes all round, coilovers on front, biletin forest struts on back, quick rack and sump and tank gaurds. that should see me with a rolling shell and then i will put in my 1400 8v SRI engine with twin 40's!

pics coming soon.
