Well that brings a new spin to drink driving.

Sounds like the driver drifted off. I've seen the results a few times now. Driver nods off, truck goes accross the hard shoulder, up the banking until it tips onto it's side. Messiest one I've seen was a milk tanker.

Scariest was a stobart wagon that had gone through the fencing just after J28 southbound on the M1, down-hill section wth a sweep to the right, at about 5:30am. I passed it just minutes after it happened, A few hours later on my way back they'd just finish hauling it back onto the road.
