i got my 2.0 8 valve sri engine outta my cavalier there 2nite as the cars going to the scrapper tomorrow

what all should i be keeping off it for my nova(just incase i've missed anything

i'ved got the engine.
gearbox
wiring loom back as far as the brain
the brain itself
front brake calipers
rear brake discs/calipers/backing plates/hubs
i also cut the plates off the old cav axle aswell for mounting onto the nova axle:thumb:
i also kept the gear linkage/selector also


have i missed anything else folks....before its gone

will the intank fuel pump be any good to me for a start?????

sounds like youve got everything bud if your novas an injection model you just need an astra in tank mpi pump but if its a carb model get the cavvy pump off. cheers damen.

Get the fuel pump.

If they're worth fitting/selling and it has these then get the steering wheel, electric sunroof, electric mirrors.

If the doors and wings are any good then you can probably sell those aswell.

If it has the equal length driveshaft setup then they can be used on a corsa/astra aswell, or sold.

thers bugger all left on the car but

i've absolutely everything else stripped for my other cavalier lol

it was more just mechanical things i was thinking of for my nova conversion

my nova's and spi....would the internal fuel pump do this type of tank???

yea your tank would take a mpi pump out of an astra or corsa of even a nova sri/gsi you will definatley need one as your spi pump wont provide enought fuel for an xe.

take out the whole wiring loom or at least cut of all the connectors that plug onto the engine loom (driver footwell?)
