Mk2 Cav GLS/GL. Pretty rare beast now tbh.
Good luck finding one. You might be better off finding a Cav mk2 1.6 which is a big block 1.6. Then see if you can use 1.8 8v parts to switch it to a 1.8.
Have to question why you'd want one though?

Ehh..no. Three bolt fixing to the top air intake is carb, two bolt fixing is SPI.
Also to note they had a smooth rocker cover.

Mk3 Cavalier ran a carb 1.8 8v from the 89-G to 92-K
90ps @ 5400 rpm 109.2lbft @ 2800rpm, used a Pierburg carb.
It was sold alongside a single point version from 90 onward with the same power, which was also fitted with a cat.
You can also get a 1.8 carb engine in a Manta and a Carlton. The Manta ones are desirable as the parts from them such as the sump are used in XE conversions. These used Varajet carbs.
All Mk2 Cavaliers and Astras with 1.8s were multi-point fuel injected. First the 1.8e then the 1.8SE.
