lol sorry
i wouldnt bother tbh.i would just spend the money you have on the suspension and brakes so that you can get the best out of your car and get to know it better and build up some no claims then think about diffrent engines.remember its not all about power;)
I would also just like to add a big LOL to this thread as well lol
Engine tuning, forget it. Waste of time tbh. Concentrate on uprating the suspension, brakes, and shedding every possible kg
there is 1 way
allways drive downhill lol.. dont know what im laughing at, mines a 1l too

lol Sorry, I had to chuckle
As said, remove as much weight (back seats, panels etc) will improve your power to weight ratio. Also suspension, brakes etc are a must really.
Then just wait until you can afford more ?? insurance and slap a bigger engine in (keep it small block though :))
plus as you have just passed your test then any mods will effect the insurance in a bad way....
run it standard for a year, then when the insurance drops fit a bigger lump.

Please dont fit a loud exhaust pipe either.
No one likes a loud droning car that takes forever to go out of ear shot.
Put your effort into polishing!
