basically, when u want to put the window back in, get a piece of cord and wrap it around the window in the rubber. as u push on the window to put it back in start pulling the cord out. this basically pops the window back in to the car

right ok, so i place the cord(thick string) in the grove of the rubber seal then put the window in and i pull the cord, will the cord pull the rubber seal over the edge of the window? Does the rubber seal stay on the car or do i put it on the window then in the car? Whats the best way to put on the tint, ive heard sum1 put it in the bath and done it that way? Soz for being so dumb, just dont wanna mess up rubber seal or glass!

pulling the cord out as you push the window pops it back onto the car so when you,ve worked your way round the whole window and the cord is out.......the window should be back in.
the rubber stays on the window (on rear, rear side and windscreen)
and finally actually tinting the glass......get a water sprayer from b&q (or your mums gardening shed) stick in loads of washing up liquid and fill with water. give it a good shake to foam it up. once the film is cut spray shed loads on the window and stick the film to the window. it should slide around like a motherfucker (cos of the fairy) making it easy to position. once in start from the middle and gently squeegee the water out. make sure u got loads of kitchen towwels to hand cos u don't want an interior smelling of pissy old women when the seats get wet

oh...and be carefull when squeegeing the water out cos its dead easy to scratch the film

oh right, so when i pull the cord it will help the rubber seal to get on both sides of the window frame. Can i take off the rubber seal when fitting the tint or is the seal stuck on? Im sure ill figure it out, oh 1 qustion, to go with the 50 before, do i pull the cord from the inside or outside of the car? Obviously it would be safer to push the window against the car so pull the cord from the inside yeah?
How easy is it tint rear window, wont the heating thingys cause tint to go cacky?
Neil
Sit inside and pull the cord form in there.

ive done a few windows, find it best to use good quality tint and use the tool supplied to squeese bubbles out, Halfords sell it. the small ice scrapers with the softish rubber lip work well,TIP when squeezing out bubbles put a bit of sopy water on top of tint too to minimise scratching the tint. remember plenty of sopy water stops tint going sticky too quick. If i were you i'd leave a 3mm gap from the edge of the film to the edge of the window, that'll give a neat finish. when you've finished and r happy with result use a hair drier to heat up tint all over esp edges, that makes peel back less likely

cheers munchie, think i'll do the tint with the windows in the car, alot easier. Like the idea of the hair drier tho. :D
Prob get the tint from another shop NOT halfords as they are cr@p.
What type tint do u recomend? PLease give me the name of what type to get. Any help is greatly wanted!
Whats difference between limo black and metal black? Is it better for Light smoke all round?
How about light smoke(35% see through) on front and dark smoke(20% see through) on back?

Metal black looks alot more like mirror. It's like the same colour that you get black chrome alloys in and everything reflects off it. If you get the max power tint you get a squeegy with it to get the bubbles out and a sharp blade.
