Nope standard 3 spoke is the future.

is this the most commonly ask wheel question?
cesaro are nice i would choose fan blades all day long thou
speedlines ok but gotta stick fan blades
Saloony
26-11-07, 11:15 PM
The only thing they have going for them is there semi big with an offset friendly to the old tin box.
are speedline allesio's the best wheel
Funk No! lol
I do like irmy wheels like 16" softstars or twin spokes. MO's suit nova lines (the big 5 spoke) Obviously the best wheels a OZ F1 Cups....

allesios are better looking then any vaux/gm made wheel, people who say other wise are liars lol
No way, Fan blades all the way

I still prefer speedline allesios over any other wheel on a Nova. There are still loads I love as well, just not as much. They transform the look of a standard Nova.
I also like softstars, comp mo's and cesaros.
Keith
speedlines and comp mo are my fav
not a fan of softstars, blades are gay and so are 3 spokes....
my opinion so dont go mad lol lol
just vaux trev

i like allesios i think...but they are getting a bit overkill now
i saw somw pics put up yesterday of a local cruse/meet and if you find the pics you will see every nova there has allesios on
on the same subject what do you think of these my fav been after a set o these for 4 years and just found a set>

i like the wheels that i have. bsa racing but dont know what model they are. http://http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc80/stevenf86/027.jpg]
Im a huuuuge fan of MO's on a nova.
Speedlines do look good but are so over done.
I prefer Cesaros, but they're starting to replace Alessios as the new common wheel. Typical, when I don't have a Nova, the stuff I like - saloons and Cesaros - aren't all that popular, as soon as I get one everybody has them lol
Might look into getting some Volk wheels for the Nova one day

Ive had them on my Nova for years now and i do like them but there just too small to have an impact on the look of the car.
IF i could i would have standerd GSI 3 spokes back but stopping would be a problem!
These are the other 2 Vauxhall wheel i really like.
I have the 1st set for my track wheels

I like the second set adam has posted but MO's are much better suited to a nova than gaylines

MO's do look hardcore on the right style of nova!

Speedlines are boring
Softstars for a more classy look
RL7's for a slag look
tom_beverley
27-11-07, 01:38 PM
IMO Comp MO's look the nicest.
I like speedlines and sofstars too, also RS GT's look cool. Not forgetting to mention Ronal Turbo's, they look awesome but IIRC the offset is crap.
Speedlines and Softstars have been done to death, but are still a nice wheel and suit the Nova.
Fav motorsport wheels is: Revo RFX (These look especially good on Gary Hopes old Nova) Comp TH, Comp MO
Fav OEM wheel is: Astra GTE Mk2 (I have these for the Sport)
Fav aftermartket wheel is: MIM brescia or Raffino

circa 1996, the most expensive wheel & bodywork combo was the Alessio's & GSi kit.
Thats why they are so popular, the best prepped Nova's wore them.
I still think they look great, the shape is a classic. They look wider due to the curves & the integrated centre cap.
Long may they reign IMO. Though I am ashamed to admit I have them at times.
FFS, any wheel is acceptable if you like the looks, they go over the brakes & hold the tyres on!

Personally I wouldnt. Be carefull what you say, someone just built a 2 tone Silver & pink Nova with wheels on (enkei teddies) only a couple months ago...
I wouldnt stray less than ET45 which rules out most wheels tbh.
My faves are Speedline Chrono's. MARTIN KELSON's look awesome.

definately the best wheels going speedlines still look amasing!!!
TD pro race 1's/1.2's and to a lesser extent pro race 2's are V nice (plus light which is the aim of the game lol)
at the end of the day I dont care what wheels are on the car. Its the rubber that counts :D

Team Dynamics wheels are typically so poor though, I cant cant around the fact that they allegedly make some lightweight wheels.
Are they very hard alloy?

speedlines are the best wheel.
Speedline Chrono's
speedline mistrals
speedline allessio 2
dont think anything else comes close apart from compomotive th
If i could find some 15inch with the right offset, then the speedlines would have to go
my favourite wheels are speedlines they look just right on a nova

my front wheels that are a good 2.5" wider (ok they are 16" diameter vs the 17") but complete with tyre the TD version is lighter than the std front. and the rears are lighter (same sizes) even with heavy tyres on.
They seem fine for track abuse and so on.

..is the correct answer.. top stuff.
still love the allesios! imo they just give a 'finished/refined' look to a nova, no matter what type of car it is!
i bought allesios for my old caged black nova, once i fitted them, it just looked perfect!

Well........
I loved mine on GSi/GTe SR/i Three spokes
Though that 17's were ****! lol
Looked nice on GSi Cav slabs.
Was Ace on GSi Mk3 astra blades (not many cars use these)
Also love the look of mulitspoke Pro Race, Monzas etc.
But do really love the look and feel of Speedline allesio II's
Hench why ive kept mine in favour over Mo's (wich i love also but decided not to get)
as ive kept the speedlines for road/wet's and got Cesaro's for Track/Slick's

it really depends what you like i guess and as for the lightened team dynamics pro race 1.2's they're not to bad i dont think make the steering a bit lighter and width isn't bad either. And again personal opinion think they look spot on.

I tried some on my saloon for a short period but swapped them for speedlines and stuck them on my cavlol you can get some big dish volks too - mmmm jappy euro :thumb:
personally i think speedlines are common - but they do look good in a subtle understated way - they were THE wheel to have back in the 90's but not so much now, also very dated now but tsw hockenheims look good on the right car

That sport with the speedlines on is a good example of when 'not to'...
Totally with you iain with the white cesaros you have now.. tho i must amdit there are better white alloys out there yet :-P
Ive kinda had a game thinking how to put my opinions down bout rims for novas..
I (also) agreed with like CG says - the speedlines on GSi/GTE kitted novas - like jeans really. Cant go wrong. Just nowadays being different is what grabs attention. So if it was my money: i on a bit of a diamond cut fetish at the mo.. Full face diamond cut rims.. So compomotive TH or the ronal t's/similar would be my fave..
14" or 15" or 16"..

Ok I will probably get slated here but my fave wheels for the Nova are the standard SR steelies :thumb: Good condition ones look well smart. After them I'd have to say THs :D But I wouldn't say no to some teddies either ;)
Softstars all the way imo..

Ive never been a huge Speedline fan. I admit they do set a Nova off well, but the huge choice of rim there is out there, which can be made to any offset / pcd you choose, i do wonder why they hang around so much!
The only time i really got wowed by a set was when I saw Jim's..
