My first Nova I got when I was 16... Came with a 1.4 sr engine in it, fitted a weber, bumpers and grille, SR tailgate,GSI interior and the obligatory big bore (4) and I was on my way :thumb:

Mistral Grey 1.2 Merit which was my daily hack so I didn't have to use my Cav GSi Turbo for work and was far more fun that it had any right to be!! Scrapped due to ropey bodywork (it was solid underneath but not worth spending the money on) after donating it's dash to the second which was...

Haze Blue 1.3SR which was bought for ?125 with no MOT and needing a VIC (Cat C write off) and originally intended as a donor for it's doors for the 1.2 but was amazingly clean and far too good to break so I put it back on the road and scraped the 1.2 instead. Fitted a full Mk2 blue & grey SR interior, Mk2 dash and electric windows then sold on eBay for ?370 when I bought my Vectra GSi. Was still on the road last time I checked the reg on DVLA site.

Still miss them both so after 2 years without a Nova in my life number 3 came along...

E16SE, Cav Cesaro 15's, Cav SRi 16V brakes with braided hoses, completely stripped apart from 2 Cobra Monaco's, 2 3 point harnesses and a Mk2 dash. The intention was to be a track car on the cheap (I should know better that to use the 'c' word by now) but it still needs a ****load of work before it's even vaguely near done and pretty much all enthusiasm has been lost resulting in it sitting untouched in the corner of my Dad's workshop collecting dust for the last 3 months at least. The lack of enthusiasm and hopeful house purchase sometime next year now mean it may just end up being scrapped but no decision has been made as yet.

I absolutely loved this car, i still miss it like mad :cry: !! however the strut tops gave way, engine blew, rust all over rear arches, so i decided to use it as a stock car!!!

To be honest dave, i felt quite pushed into selling it by friends mainly, they didnt see what we do :-(
Wish ide have kept it; 43,000 on clock, very straight. Great project. Ah well.
Hope he doesnt mind me saying this but the next owner went a bit.. bizzare shall we say.. with it after me.. :-(

2nd GTE (2.0 16v) got wrote off by a moped pulling out on, had 50bhp NOS kit on it back 2001 before it became mainstream

Then replace with a Silk Violet Nova Gsi firstly 2.0 16v then rebuilt with QED Throttle Bodies & 200bhp. Car was sold on then went threw all sort of transformation then scrapped:(

Took a break for a while with my First 4x4 Sierra Cossie then a S1RST then bought another GTE, Had a mint chassis & i fitted full Gsi Interior then sold it on it got a 2.0 16v fitted and sold on some more last i seen of it the new owner had pulled the front X member to pieces

Then had a break for 2 yrs went back to another cossie & another then 2x escort cossie, then a BMW E30 Cosworth then i bought this Black GTE off Bruce

Was a right lal cool car just very un-practical due to highly modifed engine so the lal 1.6 got pulled out and sold, i'd always wanted to build a C20let Nova and this shell was perfect for with all the hard work already done

This is how it looked when i sold it, it went back to scotland not far away from where i bought it, the new owner is having the wheels repainted & fitting a Diff & Coilovers & from what i hear its very well looked after
Some days i wish i still had it just to annoy folk:thumb:

I can't find photo's of some of mine. They were all sheds anyway! lol I had Mk1 1400SR, a Mk2 silk violet merit & a Mk1 2.0 8v that I bought to break.

This started life as a bog standard 1400SR, then I put MC's old 1649cc engine in it and decided to ruin it by putting 18's on it lol

when did you have this car? it was round my area about 3 years ago to a guy called chris pharnell and then i was going to buy it. it went to some guy in keighley tho and havnt heard of it since, was he the guy who wrapped it?

ive had few novas but this is the only other one i have a picture of on the computer,

my diesel nova van that lasted a week, cost 100 quid 2 months t&t painted black stripes & put 17'' alloys on it & the anti roll bar snapped off the car (rot) so i tied it back on with a seat belt (as you can see) & drove it to the scrapp yard where i got my 100quid back...oh happy days:thumb:

1st nova was a porto blue mk2 nova sr complete with white compo mos, 60mm drop and custom 124db JP backbox. Unfortunatly i have no pics. :(

2nd Nova was a Grey nova gsi, which i sold to SRLew's bro who then blew it up. :(

3rd nova, then came the project car, started life as a 62k mk2 nova fun 1.2 spi of roar power. Took it round the block and knew start away the engine had to come out.
Fitted a 1.6 gsi lump, sportex system, cav gsi rims, and 60mm drop and left it like that for the sleeper look.

4th Nova, Annabella, originally a 1.0 it was built by Rexy and panted vw beetle racing blue, stripped out completly, and had a 1.3 sr lump fitted. I then swapped it for a corsa sport, and the lad who had it fitted a C2olet under the bonnet, and was last seen for sale on ebay.

Nova no.7, Mk2 Nova sri in white, gave ?310 for it with a blown headgasket, fixed headgasket, painted rear arches and also stuck it on the rollers and got 97bhp. Mot was due and needed alot of welding so sold it to someone off ebay.

Nova no.8, Built by Ste off here it started life as a 1.0, then had a C20xe fitted, the headgasket then went and ste sold up and sold it to me as basically a shell with an engine. Was scraped due to the engine bay pulling itself apart.
