So - now the old Stevies gone who do you think will be the next coach of the "mighty" England -

It makes me sad that the current odds at most major betting shops dont even have an English man.

Wheres the feckin sense of pride!

HOW can someone from a "foreign land" lead england to the finals - theres no motivation for them! I mean if an Italian got england to the final against italy what kind of squad would he put on the pitch! He'd get knee capped by the feckin mafia if england won!

Steve McLaren had his faults but he was better the sven.

Sad sad sad.

Vote away!

Oh and I forgot to add a"who gives a sh1te" button - sorry

Neither from that list tbh, none of them want it other than capello anyways, The England job has turned into a joke these days what with the media hype it creates, I think harry redknapp would be an excellent choice, but now that he's got portsmouth playing well i doubt he'd want to leave!!!

jose mourinho would be the best man for the job.

as for who will get it........................martin o neill. no question.

and as for steve being better than sven? are you joking? sven took us to 2(?) quarter finals, steve made us miss out on a major tournament for the first time in like 20 years. he's got the worst record of an england manager ever.

fcuking stupid ginger b.astard, he should use his ?2.5million payoff to refund the 90,000 fans who had to watch that drivvle in wembley

we have a foreign manager, but how many english players are being played in the premiership. last week, between all the teams we had 20 english players start. it's f**king digusting that we haven't got a good number of english players, playing in an english game, in an english league.

we should be proud to be english and play our game!!

I heard that Mourinho had eyes on the Manchester United job when Ferguson retires.

Plus wasn't Martin O'Neill considered last time?

But anyway, who gives a toss. Football is a farce, Steve Mclaren being given a ?2.5m payoff when he's failed miserably at his job proves just what a waste of space the FA really is.

Feck, I'd be crap at managing the England squad. Give me ?2.5m lol

ill do it, the problem is, the team swaps players and tatics, every match, if we keep it the same, we might get somewhere lol

England will never win anything when they continue to play the 'lets kick it as far up the pitch & hope our player is there' method. the passing & dribbling game is what always wins knockout competitions.
Sven was actually very successful, & look what he is doing with Man City.
Mac was the only englishman who wanted to do it & he proved that he has not got the brains for the job. It needs a brilliant tactics man.

what does everyone think about giving it to someone like shearer???

I rekon Alan Hansen should do it.

At least then, while hes sat on the sideline, he'll do his best not to be described as 'very very poooooor' in the following days headlines lol

Shearer hasnt got and management experience. It would be like when Keegan did it - gets the backing of the country but hasnt a clue on tactics.

Stick Hanson and Linekar as joing coaches - that way when it all goes wrong they can blame each other!

well according to the news of the world this morning (so it must be truelol )....o'neill has ruled himself out of the england job. rafa benitez is getting sacked by liverpool to be replaced by jose mourinho (even though jose isn't allowed to work in the premier league this season).

that leaves benitez free, and if you read yesterdays papers you would have read that benitez would 'seriously consider the england job'.

make of that what you will!

it's all speculation at the moment. but jose can't work the premier league, so he could take england. i'm not sure the fa would have rafa.

ferguson is definately ruled out because he doesn't want to fcuk his awesome career up. he'll go for head of fa.

shearer would know what he's doing, he's just missing his final qualification, but the fa could fast-track him. even hanasen said this morning that shearer should have it.

remember where you heard it first! lol

I say give shearer a chance aswell, well all got to start somewhere and he always knows what he is talking about after the matches in the interviews. And the players will respect him. But to be honist it dont matter who we get were still never win it again were just crap lol
