more problems please help !!

well basically ive just had my sfi and fuel reg fitted replaicing my power cap and fse. also recently had standard cams put back replaicing 280 durations. as i had standard management and didnt relly want it lumpy as fook lol .

Now i havnt been able to start it all week untill the cambelt and fuel reg was fitted. well got it done and started her up today. its revving up very high say about 2500rpm... where the air filter/ induction kit goes on it its sucking an emense amount of air... now if i put my hand over it, it ticks over normally http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif .
Also when i last drove it ( about a month ago http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif ) i gave it some in 2nd untill it hit the limeter and something went wrong i think as all of a sudden it started to sound a bit like a mini scooby lol and lost a LOT of power ! now ive been told its running on 3 sparks so im going to buy some ht and spark plugs sunday.

Any other suggestions as to what it could be ???? im scratching my head over it and im edging closer towards the sledge hammer lmfao http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/lmao.gif

Firstly, which engine is it, secondly, what does the management light say it is?

Well, the air filter hose should be sucking air, thats its job?

Sounds like the idle valve is stuck wide open, hence why you block the main air pipe, it idles normally.
Or the throttles stuck open

once you cover the pipe with your hand and move your hand away it idle properly,it is sucking like a vacum way more than my xe it sucks that much you can just about pull your hand away

the engine is a xe dispak version
