Cam belt recently went so I put a new belt on and timed it up and it started which was lucky. Anyway i've now noticed when you put your foot down it doesn't pick up very well - loss of power.

When the belt came off I do remember hearing a hissing, like loss of compression. What possible damage could of been done, or could it be the head gasket need replacing?

I'm going to give it a compression test tomoz.

See what the results of the compression test are.

Ok, so if the compression is bad which I think it will be what would you suggest it could be?

are you 100% sure you timed it up properly

Yeah the timing seems to be ok but will checked again in morning. I reckon it's something to do with the valves as LLTN said, but then the engines not making any noise?

Massive help!

Have a pat on the back.

Its likely to be valves, just check spark plug gaps etc aswell.
