Is it just me or does there seem to be some really FFFFFing stupid threads at the moment :mad: that no one could give two s**ts about. For example (HELP what colour should i paint my playstation :tard: ) OR will my cars engine still pop and bang when i turn the key off then on again if i buy a 1.4sr.
i dont want to put anyones noses out on here if you posted these topics as im not a bad bloke, but sorry come one people.
it seam like the last few weeks non stop. RANT over had to get that out my system, meeeeh im a misrable old bas***dlol

Totally justified Rant IMO.
I think a couple more moderators are rquired for daytime tbh. The threads should just be deleted there & then. The culprits would get the message pretty quickly!
Its for the good of the site & its content.
Hmm. On one hand its a bit harsh just deleting threads where someone is asking for opinions on changing the colour of their car (for example). Yes, "its your car, paint it how you want" etc, but someone could be in two minds or really not know where to start. Inspiration from other comments may kick start ideas. Having said that, I have no idea what colour the saloon will be, but I'm not going to post a thread asking what other people think it should be lol
On the other hand, yes, some of the threads are useless. See (yep, sarcasm) post about photoshops lol
On the whole I find the forum tends to sway between being full of crap threads to being full of interesting ones. Just going through a bit of a crap spell at the moment, it'll pick up soon enough.

Jack I agree & tbh I wouldnt delete the example you gave... but (I'm bored, what colour shall I paint my toes whilst skiving P.E) is a no-brainer.
Sadly, as much as we like to think Novas are past the chav phase. The influx of muppets on here would lead me to believe otherwise. Shame they dont keep to muppet corner.

lol dont get me wrong i seem to be causing a few enemys with this thread, i like a bit of mindless rubbish just like the rest, and on a whole i love the new png forum, i wouldnt spend half my time on here if i didnt lol. its just sometimes when you read some of theses threads i think to my self, people must just be really board or have no imagination. maybe its just because like some of you im sure, im married with a house and i have more worries in my life than what colour to paint something etc etc

maybe more examples of good quality and meaningful posts should be put up then ?? I agree there has been alot of tat looking back through the recent posts.
All i can say is that there seems to be alot more people looking for good threads than actually making them themselves. Its like everything else in life, the little bit more you put in yourself, sometimes the bigger the reward (aka people following with the standard of posts)

There is for and against arguements in this. TBH I agree that some posts are the biggest waste of bandwidth, but sometimes the useless threads turn into gems, and that is one of the things about the original NL that kept a lot of people hanging around. I think would be a shame if we started to implement thread deleting just from the title!
However, that is exactly what muppet corner is there for and it is definately annoying when crap appears elsewhere in the forum.
I agree with a few things said in this thread.
Yeah, pointless threads are gay, but there fcuking ace too lol
And always end up being the longest threads ever, Lol.
People haven't always got car problems/questions to post about.

i was wondering how long it would be lol i dont think anyone is slagging the png site down mate, just stating a opinion. we all enjoy the site and i know the benifit of have a specialist club like this is rewarded ten fold when you get to know people, i think sometimes people should give others a bit more of a chance, post are usually good and like you say a little more in put etc but you must understand, im only moaning about a select few. im not trying to say you do a bad job or anything like that far from it pal dont get the wrong idea:)

That about sums it up. I knew I should of done a different car up, something that less dikheads own. lol
In fairness we all did pointless things when we were younger and had less responsibilties. People aged 17-20 putting on silly kits I can just about live with, but after that I would hope people mature a bit.
