All it should say is model = nova, or nova base. anything else is dodgy.

When all the sport stuff that was on PVG gets moved over I'm sure there's a better guide in with it.

Brown interior with Daytona check SR seats
Rear seat is a one piece bench seat
Basic dark brown dashboard with no outer face vents(Blanking plates in place)
Usually no clock but most have had one fitted by now.
Early orange needle SR 6 dial insruments
Two speed heater fan
'Floppy' type drivers door mirror, passenger mirror was an optional extra! Passenger mirror is also a different size although most Sports now have later mirrors fitted.
No rear seatbelts, also an optional extra
No radio although most have them fitted now
Round lock rear tailgate
Small front brakes were fitted even though the brochure describes GTE vented brakes being fitted
Irmscher inlet manifold
Special Weber DCOE carburettors numbered 143 & 144 with vacuum advance take offs.
Irmscher UK airbox
Special upper & lower alternator brackets.
Base model front one piece bumper with white decals and stripe
No side repeaters on the wings
Did you know early door hanles are a different size!
Full decal set
13" steel wheels with what were described as 'Smooth aerodynamic wheels trims' Hmmm!
Oh and low profile Firestone tyres
Carburettor stickers for hot air feed on wheel house and service instructions on dash.

Hope no one minds me copying that out the club section?
It would be helpful to all.

There is this, but it has no graphics or anything. Could be a bit dodgy or it could be a really good find for someone... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-NOVA-SPORT-C757-DTT-VSX000093F4174550_W0QQitemZ190173954028QQihZ009QQc ategoryZ10404QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I believe all Sports should have a VSX000093F417**** chassis number, mine does. The one on eBay could be gen but has all the wrong bits (inc tailgate, engine, delocked doors  )

Mikey's correct, they should say NOVA BASE on the log book under make/model, the one on eBay says "Sports" in body type which is weird?

I RAC checked that one on eBay, it just comes up as "Nova" where as all the other Nova's Ive owned come up as "Nova SR" "Nova GSi" etc etc

Depends how the dealer registered them when new they should say nova base but some say sport or even sr, the best way to find out is to contact Andrew duerden with chassis number as he has the list of original chassis numbers.

TBH I wouldn't take much notice of what the logbook says at it will just state whatever the original dealer registered it as. Due to type approval(Avoiding it due to time constraints) they were never really recognised as a specific Sport model by the DVLA etc, that was one of the reasons for fitting the Sport kit at the dealer.
I have seen Sports registered as SR's and Sports, best way to confirm its a real one is to contact Andrew Deurden with the chassis number to hand.

Jeez, my guide seems to get everywhere! Should have copyrighted it:roll:

Mine is F416****

The guide does not mean a great deal either as it is very easy to build a replica, as I sain the chassis number will tell all.

Having said that I know of a very good SR built as a replica then a genuine Sport ID was used to make it look original. Ringing?!?:wtf:

Mine is F416****

Whoops, just checked, so is mine actually, not F417!

True what you're saying tho Rich, they're are quite a few variations of Spec and log book info, best checking with Andrew.
