Novas dont have anywhere near the following in other countries like they have in the UK. That price isnt especially cheap I shouldnt think.

Cars are very expensive in Spain though, hence why you still see people driving old Novas & such. Easy enough to convert to RHD, or better still leave it on foreign plates & dodge MOT, tax & insurance like all the other immigrant wagons!
thats very true, they are dear but alot are mint and very plentyfull, the amount of old astra gte etc over there.....
thats a normal price here, for a 1.4 from 91 you'll pay about 500-700 euro in the netherlands, thats about ?400 i guess

Mayhem, does the Nova carry a 'certain reputation' with it in Holland? If I told people I used to drive a F plate Polo, they'd not bat an eyelid, when I say I drove a F plate Nova, some say 'boy racer' or 'chav' immediately!!lol

a nova has absolutely no reputation or whatever here. it's an old rusty piece of **** what women drive for going to the supermarket.

i can maybe see purists/harcore'ers in a few years time resorting to some of these tactics- but by the time ?650 is driven to italy in trailers, and back all RHD converted; gonna be more monies than just getting a slightly rustier one here..

it has n't the status here as in the uk, although it really is a car you love or hate. most guys i know who owned a nova, owned more than one. a nova just has something to it

They were all made in Spain. Zaragosa, iirc.
(Aside from a few early models - Germany and UK factories built them?)
