Im Sure there are pently off people on here who could help me.

I have a nova SRI which has got the C14se multipoint injection engine with dissy not the dissyless system. its got the normal things like decat, K&N and SS exsust system. iv got to put my 4 banch on yet. is there anymore things i could do to make it faster without cams just yet. ie remap or chip. i was thinking about a AFC controler i dont know if anyone has done it before or not.

I know theres a C16SE with a dissy out there off the gsi but i need the one without SFI inlet on it. so i dont know if i could but the inlet from my C14se and keep all the wirng the same.

And the 2.0 idea is great but cant afford that just yet.

so if anyone has any ideas off making my car faster Please let me know

I think the inlets are the same (sri and gsi) other than that, thats about all i can tell you!

Perhaps you should look into a set of twin carbs if your looking to make it go a bit faster.

Don't forget things like weight reduction, quality brakes and suspension - won't make the engine more powerful, but will make the car faster.

Was gonna suggest the same thing. Don't waste time and money on gettin tiny, barely noticeable power gains when it will probably get XE'd in the near future.

Spend on some decent coilover suspension and 4 pot front brakes and you'll find the car far more enjoyable than a few more bhp. You'll also be investing for the future rather than throwing money at your old engine as the bits can follow thru to when you go big block.

If you can't afford a 2l16v then forget tuning the 1.4 any further, as the next stages are headwork, management, and a suitable cam.

Big valve heads work well on the 1.4 SRi's. But otherwise just concentrate on making it mint, servicing it, & making sure the brakes & suspension are pukka.

Theres no shame in having a 90bhp Nova or whatever. Just be patient until you can afford something bigger better etc.

I would still envy a styled, concourse 1.2 8v tbh.

i would do the management system but i dont know what to go for anyone have any ideas on that??

as for the quality brakes and suspension i got them that was the first thing i did. I mite go for the 2.0 16v but what sort off places fit them for a decent price. ie like Just novas

You running just the standard SR brakes? Thats not an upgrade. Spend your money on some decent 4 pot fronts like willwoods. The difference will be amazing! Its also something that will easily sell on again or transferable to most vaux's. In the least upgrade to V6 brakes which is an easy upgrade and easily done for under ?100.

As far as suspension goes the spax are a good start. Spend on the brakes next that after that go to coilovers after, either avo's or gaz. At the same time as fitting the coilovers fit some eccentric top mounts.

Cost wise your looking:-

Willwood 4 pot setup - ?300-400 (someone can maybe confirm that?)
or
V6 Vaux setup - ?100

Coilovers - ?500-600
Eccentric Top Mounts - ?100

Thats should be your shopping list if you want to squeeze realisable performance from your car.

Best way to get the V6 calipers is to find someone breaking a V6.

The calipers themselves will bolt straight on but the discs will need re-drilling to 4 stud pattern and spacers are needed to fit hub.

There's the spacers - http://www.chrisastleymotorsport.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=46&osCsid=7281a1ce042da9c959949dbc389f1132

and I'm sure if you call chris he can supply the re-drilled discs for you.

PM Dave Marshall (http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/member.php?u=15790) on Migweb as he often has sets of V6 calipers.
