c20 xe no spark.

i have looked in the mechanical threads but dont know!!! its a xe 1995. in my nova now and went to turn it over theres fuel getting to it etc but no spark at all. wot all wires are neede to be connected and wher apart from dash to get the car started.?? ta

I take it is a dispack model if its '95. Is the engine loom plugged into the dispack itself?

yeah the loom is all connected. engine was running then the car was rolled but nt serious.

lol, i take it the plugs have been changed then as if the car was flipped they were probably saturated in oil and fuel.

yes they were. is there live that needs to go to coil etc??

It has no seperate coil if its a dispak engine.
Everything that needs a live, gets it from its connection on the ecu loom.

Does the ecu light come on with ignition?

does have a coil. and yes the ecu light does come on. ta

Right, so its a dizzy engine.
So check the dizzy cap and rotor arm. Are you getting a spark from the coil ht lead?
