Will an F16 fit onto my let engine?

erm yes, the c20let will probably kill it though, and the ratios/top speed would be awful.

Thats what i think i have on at the moment thenlol as it screams on the motorway and its dead now. Is the F20 straight swap, ie same mounts, shafts etc?

Are you sure you currently have an f16 fitted?! If so that would explain it's failure! Yeah the f20 will fit up to the clet block, and will run on the existing mounts (that's assuming you do have an f16 and not a 28!) and same big block driveshafts. IIrc dave marshall ran his 250bhp let on an f20 albeit with a diff.

i was putting 280bhp through f20's last year with an open diff, and destroyed 4/5 of them. so this year i just went the whole hog and fitted the f28- not one problem. whoever tells you f20's can handle a P2 is lieing, they cant. well not for long anyway.

Yeah Jeff, If i was you i'd just take this time now to fit an F28 and Diff.

I'v been running an F20 in my corsa let (250+hp) for the last 18 months with no problems, ATB diff, paddle clutch and R888 for the strip thats with 15+ dragstrip events

I must have dropped on a good one i guess ;)

I ran an f16cr on p2 for 6-9mths wth no problems. Depends how you drive it I guess. I never did pod and 1st/2nd full chat. Was used on track a few times but thats all 3rd gear upwards.

f20 is a strap swap but f28 will require a bit more work. you need to change thefront gearbox mount.

the f28s aren't bullet proof either. Something has gone in mine recently after a trip to the pod, just hope its something small! :(

the f28 will cost about ?1000 inc new clutch + diff, and IMO its worthy every single penny.

if u get the car moving a bit in each gear before u put the power down its should last for a long time

Don't think i want to spend a grand on the car at xmas and i don't think the missus will go that high for a pressie, not even if i finish decorating the livingroom that i've been doing for 10 months.lol

I think i might go for an F20 for now and save up for the F28 before next season starts.
