Help!! Audi 80 with snapped ign key! Help ASAP!!

To cut a long story short, my mate has snapped the ignition key in the door of his '90 Audi 80.

Any advice on how to A. De-activate the steering lock and, B. Turn ignition on.

This is a genuine plea for help lol.

Im not a thief!

P.s. The cars wrong hand drive as i live in Rome, Italy.

Can you not turn the ignition with a large flat blade screw driver?

youll have to barrel it and hot wire it matey

Its a long shot but can he not reach any of whats left of the key with a pair of pliers? Either to pull out the remains or to start it? If not, maybe chenical metal the stump of the key fob to the bit in the ignition and remove?

Removed what was left of the snapped key from the door lock and took it to a key cutter guy and got a new one for 5 euros haha. Sorted:thumb:
