any body got any pics or info on these? im after as much detail links pics and info as possable as i have decided to keep the corsa pickup and go rear wheel drive. im thinking along the lines of rear engined that way i dont have to mess around with tranny tunnels ect .

before anybody quotes the wise and wounderfull grinder happy guru that is general baxter i have already aproched (sp) him on this matter.

so please feel free to fill this thread with as much info and links ect as posable as the more its disgussed the better.

money isnt an issue but there is a limit to how much i am willing to spend dependent on the result of the outcome.im a fully trained welder and
fabricator by trade and currently work at a garage so theres not much i dont have acess to ability to do or if i cant chances are i know some one who can

so please as much info and opinions views and knowledge as possable

the main problem with this is bump steer, get yourself on vauxsport and you will see a thread there dedicated to it.

If it's allready been pick-upped might aswell cut the floorpan out and drop it over a kit car chassis.

If its a pickup I take it the engine will be out to the elements in the back? lol

Ste, if your as good a fabricator as you say you are, why not do an Austin style FR setup rather than a RR. At least the handling will be 10 times better!

^ use an Atlas rear axle, from a mk1 Escort (IIRC) or you could go one better and get a 5 linked item ;)

Atlas (Atlas is basically the same as a Rascal Rear beam, but will take A LOT more bhp) -

this is the way i looked into doin it, only with a ford 105e rear axal, being there kinda the same size as a nova, then get a prop shalf fabbed up for it, in thought it should work..............

A is an escort 'English' Axle and B is a Capri/cortina/p100 'Atlas' axle.
You can 5-link any axle with 4 forward facing bars and one panhard rod (or a fancy watts linkage)

That last pic above looks like independant suspension to me....
