Well i used to have a G Reg MK1 sr but as usual from all nova's they lets you down and it got rotton beyond repair,so i have all the mint panels from my old nova and i have now bought a good shell now,fully wired up for a 1.4 Carb engine and already undersealed :)

Im sticking to Mk1 like a real man,i resently invested in a Snow Plough aka a old SR bumper,i got the top part brand new for ?9.50 (BARGAIN)
My plan for the engine is a 1.4 Carb but with a Turbo for some bite!

Here the shell for th Job!
looks very bad here,but i asure you its got no rot,only slight surface rust which i sanded fully down on sunday,
TOP TIP! (NEVER SAND BY HAND IT IS #1 ON MOST BORING)

Rubbing down is always boring... having your joints numbed by a noisy eleccy sander that blocks out the radio is worse IMO.

Keep at it & maximum respect for keeping her mk1.

Yes,sanding is boring but must be done,imo i wish there was a faster way,got to go over with the air sanding thing on sataday then hopefully its done,and

decided on silver for the colour with grey bumpers,skirts and a 1.4 sr boot with vynal and a spoiler :)

1.4, carb, turbo. should be interesting. although we all know your flashbang and all the other accounts youve had.

how are you going about carb & turbo? suck or blow through ?

what pistons are you using for compression? going for forged items with rods?

may have sourced a 1.6 Carb engine now :) so bit more speed :)
