right i need to take the bar of my car from the front bumper the driver side had loads of room ive come to the passenger side and theres some thing in the way stopping me accessing the boltslol . what is it and how does it come off? :tard: cheers peeps

I think that's the carbon canister, some bollocks to do with venting fuel tank gases I think. It's in Haynes anyway...

You can rip the canister out of its metal casing I think and unbolt the required bolts or a better way would be to unbolt the front bumper from the L brackets (remove the grille and remove the nuts in gap behind the bumper that hold the bumper iron to the brackets).

Rip the canister out & get at the bolts.

You can ditch the canister I think. Just blank off the vac line to it.

My old 1200 had it with all the hoses & pipes hanging off & ran fine. LOL

I did the same on my SPI; binned the canister and just blanked off the hose going to the tank.

Id advise you leave the breather pipe open( the one from the tank)
Remove/black the others.

doesnt look like it works nothing has gone through it feels like its full of sand. nothing come out of the other line anyway just left them both

The one from the tank, breathers fuel vapour/fumes out, when petrol is sloshing about, and when your filling the tank.
