Need to get one for my Nova, so moseyed up to halfrauds to see if they could supply one. Lee advised a Cav GSi cable is the one to get - however, they don't even have this model listed. In fact they only list 8v engines for both Cavaliers and Astras, no 16v engines whatsoever. I was looking for 1995 and older cars, i.e. <N reg, thinking an ecotec one would be different.

Will an 8v one fit? Or should I look for later models, i.e. an ecotec cable?

Nah, you really want an XE cable.

Find a Calibra at a scrapyard would be my advice.

Usually a rotten Calibra or 2 in our scrappies here. I'll keep an eye out Jack.

Ransomes is pretty good its only small though, but usually a lot of vauxhalls down there, however if you go to jones's in devizes im sure they have one as i seen an xe calibra there not long ago

I've used a Calibra one on two conversions now and found it to be slightly too long so have had to put a jubilee clip on to allow me to get full throttle. The others that i've used an Astra GTE cable on have been fine.
