View Full Version : Which way round??? Mk1 Badges

Just coming to the end of my nova resto, and have a small question for the experts!!

On the tailgate, which way round do the badges go, 'VAUXHALL' 'NOVA' or 'NOVA' 'VAUXHALL'????

I bought it locally from the neighbour of the original elderly owner. The neighbour bought it for his daughter who hated it, compared to her mated saxo's,206's etc. So it sat on his drive for a year.

Was a bit tatty round the back arches and wings, so they were replaced and then the whole car had a professional respray in Carmine Red (twice!!-The first job was shat!!!!)

Straight through its MOT and now back on the road. Just needs its badges!!!

Nova on near side, Vauxhall on off side.
Try and find a pic so you get them bang on tho.

I had Opel Corsa on my old saloon. Are they the same way, i.e. backwards, on euro ones then?

The blue saloon will probably have a TR badge.

Would I be right in thinking Calibra 16v Discs/Pads and Calipers will fit the Nova hubs??

and would a Nova SR anti roll bar just clamp straight on to the original tie bars or will I have to swap the lot over???

Yes the 16v Calibra (256x24mm) calipers and discs should bolt straight on and use the original Nova brake hoses. Very common brake upgrade.

Similarly with a front ARB, it should bolt straight on to your current tie bars. :)
