1.0 to 1.4

firstly hi everyone im nick and new to the site,i have just got a nova trip wich is 1.0,i need some advice on fitting a 1.4 sr lump,will this engine bolt on to the original mounts and will i have to mess arond with the wireing,any advice please thanks nick.

Drivers side engine mount is different, use the one thats already on the 1.4 unit. Run a fresh ignition live to the coil as the 1l one isnt 12v.

and swap the tank for a carb tank with a return line , fit the return line aswell

make sure you get all hoses for the 1.4 specially the auto choke/heater matrix ones

you will also need the rad and fan

And 1.4 gearbox, if your 1.4 engine dont have one fitted atm.

ive done this swap on one of mine, you will need drivers engine mount the 1400 gearbox,rad and all the water pipes ,a switched live run from the ignition to the 1400 coil make sure you have the 1400 dizzy ,coil and mini loom as the 1 liter on wont work with this engine as for the fuel return all i done was cut it into the fuel filler pipe to the carb and its worked fine for me.
