it appears to have been a deliberate joke. the bloke had several user names, & was trying to upset 1 person....
As for the sand thing, I did once see a porting system where a gel with sand was pumped through an intake so 'erosion' took place. it polished it up really well. its a pity that according to clever people, a rough port wall helps to keep the fuel mixture correct, but a smooth port breaaks the mixture down.
