bore sizes

bit of help required im going to rebuild my original bottom end of my sri just wondering if the bottom end will mate up with a gsi head are the bore size the same and do you have to change the rods and the crank

or is it not possible

it will all fit. just check the compression ratio (measure the head capacity), and adjust the head accordingly

Dont use a gsi head, unless you skim it enough to get compression ratio back to normal.
I dont get what your trying to do tho, your re-building a 1400 bottom end, but mention crank/rods of a gsi?

wasnt sure if the block was taller so the stroke wouldnt be right

The head will bolt on, just needs skimming, else you will be way down on compression.
Much easier just use a 1400 head tbh.
