Bit of a strange one. I'm after a picture of a BTB small block exhaust manifold with a lamda sensor on there. I want to know what position it is in. Failing that any small blockmanifold with a lambda sensor will probably work.

"Iirc" the small block btb i saw, had the lambda boss in one of the primaries(not good)
Weld the boss in on the side of the collector, or the top.
Not the bottom.

Yeah, I could still do with a picture though.

there isnt "really" a huge issue with the lambda boss in a primary. Its not ideal but there are no majro problems with doing so... Just dont use number 3 lol

The BTB manifolds have the lambda in a bad place anyway, its on 1 of the primaries just after the exh port. Its there so that the std Lambda cable will reach.

You want it in a position where it can monito the gas from all 4 cylinders & not just 1.

I'll be running mine as it is at 1st but will endeavour to lengthen the cable & have another boss welded further down.

There is should that one cylinder primary go rich for some reason(no spark), lambda then picks it up, and the ecu leans out the whole engine?

I guess it truely depends if you are running closed loop control. Since MOST people dont, its not a massive issue (remember on WOT its open loop fuelling too)

When "cruising", it could become a problem.
